The newest addition to our family!

Meet our little punkin seed!

When we moved in about 6 months ago we started taking our dog to the back of our building where there is a little yard and a big rock wall. On top of that rock wall is a lot of tall grass, sticker bushes and trees. There is also a little nature walk behind that. We noticed there was a family of stray cats living there. Well last friday Chris woke up and let Bailey out to go potty around 7am and noticed a baby cat just crying at the top of her lungs in the bushes. He hoped that the mama cat would come back so he just left it at that. He ended up telling me about it around 10 and I just had to go see if there was anything I could do. We went up the nature walk and found the sticker bush where all the crying was coming from and I just new that the baby needed to be rescued. I started calling for the baby and all of the sudden here comes this precious little thing crawling though the leaves and sticker bushes screaming for its mom. It broke my heart :( We immediatly went to the pet store and bought baby formula (kitten of course) and a bottle (also kitten sized) and she just went to town. We fell in love! She is so fun. She nurses every 4 hours and she loves to play and cuddle. You would never think that such a loud purr would come out of something so small ;) She can't be any older than 3 weeks. She is a beautiful calico with some grey in her. She looks like she is from halloween so until further notice her name is punkin seed!

For those of you who don't know I rescued two other kittens about 5 years ago from an unfit mama cat. They were about 2 weeks old. I just love bottle feeding kittens! It creates a bond between the two of you! I kept one of those kittens and here she is, my Baby Girl. Attitude and all :)

So many updates for you....

Where do I begin.... I am 16 weeks and 5 days pregnant!! I am feeling the baby move now and it feels awesome! I have my second ultrasound on October 22nd and I will be able to find out what it is :)

This is me and baby around 6 weeks

This is me and baby at 9 weeks

This is me and baby at 15 weeks

I will keep you posted on how big we are getting every month!!

Aahhh the weekend!

I love Fridays! It is so exciting to go to work and think 'It's friday'! The weekend is my time to sleep in, hang out with Chris and just do what ever I want to do. I'm not doing anything exciting, just hanging out with my Christopher and the kids (Bailey and Baby Girl). I just thought I would share my excitement ;)
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The reason for my title

As most of you know I work at Boeing. I absolutely LOVE my job! I climb into the wings of a 777 airplane and seal it all up so the fuel doesn't leak out (kind of like caulking your bath tub).
It's easy work and I get paid well! I also work with my dad (which is kind of cool). Rosie Riveters comes from World War II when the women left the homes to go to work while the men were off fighting the war. The women who worked on the planes were called Rosie riveters. I just think its an interesting fact about our past! I am still amazed when I walk by a gigantic plane at work and think 'I helped build that'. So there it is :)

Something New

So most of my friends are starting a blog and my sister has one so I thought that I would try it out! Like most of us I have a myspace and the whole thing is starting to bug me, so why not try something new?! I am at work and as most of you know, I have some time on my hands..... so I'll blog most days!
